A Case Of Global Injustice
“In love a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it-- one from the house of David-- one who in judging seeks justice and speeds the cause of righteousness” Isaiah 16:5.
This quote is not intended to negatively criticize a people, a nation, or a culture but rather to diligently present a reality that proves that the Word of God is superior to philosophy, logic, and tradition while its unfolding foretold prophecies continue to prove its authenticity. Under no circumstances am I intending to provoke revolution into the reader’s mind by attempting to remove the United State’s (or any other nation) integrity by presenting its weaknesses even if the latter outweighs its strengths. For we have benefited one way or another from what these nations have to offer. What follows is nothing more than an eye opener to all those who may have been blinded by the forces of darkness against their own will (Revelation 14:8) while desiring to understand the truth behind all matters of life as it is heaven’s desire to shine the light of truth upon the minds of everyone created in the likeness and image of God.
After ‘sin’ has saturated all of its created elements—particularly its inhabitants—planet earth has been the undisputed witness of murder, violence, bigotry, racism, oppression, enslavement, sexism, segregation, discrimination, prejudice, harassment, etc. This chaotic new world resulted from man veering completely away from the unchanging Law of God. This perfect Law, if applied, when applied, has the unfailing capacity to rid all facets of society of the listed deeds of darkness (I Corinthians 6:9-10). However, we have been witnessing the demoralization effect of man’s wickedness at an uncontrollable rate of increase. As a matter of fact, it has escalated to the top of its ladder. During its escalation, it has spared no continent, no country, no region, no city, no town, and no home. It has certainly not spared “The Land of the Free” whose belief system is trademarked on its currency system as such: “In God we Trust.” Has the United States ever lived up to this motto? If yes, during what period? If no, it is a violation of God’s third commandment: “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain” (Exodus 20:7)?
What has happened to “The Land of the Free”? Was this title ingeniously chosen to deceive and entrap the world into the American melting pot as a way to build an empire with the blood and sweat of a vast number of immigrants? No one can deny that this was done effortlessly and successfully. Is it just possible that the United States’ residents have been robbed—without their own knowledge—of their basic human rights for which many pacific activists have fought for? Or are they just naïve to their surroundings? Not quite! They must be so desperate for economic success that they have blinded themselves in order to achieve the American dream. What has been the cost for this achievement? Bondage, oppression, and injustice. The Washington Post has presented 10 reasons that have ended the legacy of the USA as the “Land of the Free” [1]
Gender injustice has not only prevented women from matching the wages of their male counterparts for the same job but also robbed them of voting rights for many decades. It is documented that the younger hospital patients find better treatment than the elderly does. Medicare and Medicaid are not accepted by all medical clinics. WIC is still unaccepted by certain Food chains (i.e. Whole Food Markets). The residents of the “ghettos” have lost their lives because of the Police Department’s slow response to their 911 calls. Many jobs are still reserved for certain nationalities and those with particular skin color. Are we aware of all the prisoners placed behind bar for many years (5, 10, 15, 25, 30 etc.) only to find out that they were in fact innocent. [2] Out of fear, we have unconsciously labeled all those who physically resemble the Middle Easterners as “terrorists.” Individuals without a Caucasian name are usually overlooked from the waiting list of the newly built condos in midtown Manhattan. Despite the fact that the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) prohibits disability discrimination by employers, we hear of many lawsuits being filed against major and minor corporations (i.e. Kohl’s Department Stores). The way we look down on the Asians causes them to only be comfortable around their own kind:
· In 1982, a Chinese American is bludgeoned to death in a racially-motivated attack in Detroit. His killers walk free with a mere $3,000 fine because the judge rules they are “not a threat to society” by virtue of their being gainfully employed citizens at the time of the murder.
· US laws against ethnic-Chinese immigration and property ownership (Alien Land Acts) in such states as Wyoming stayed intact until 2001.
- The Magnuson Act was repealed in 1965—up until then, Asian Americans in all 50 states (including US citizens) were not only legally disfranchised but subjected to high rents and punitive taxes.
· It is still quite acceptable to openly denigrate or make fun of Asians. [3]
The following is a list of well known cases that reminds us of the rain of injustice that has showered for many years and continues to drip down over the dry soil of the United States of America:

In addition to these famous ones, may this most recent case awakens all who have been captured and deceived thus far in an environment which has silently entrapped many into its well engineered political system:

Republican state lawmakers in Florida responsible for a controversial 2005 self-defense law said it shouldn't apply to a neighborhood watch volunteer who shot and killed Trayvon Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old, in February.
Police in Sanford, Fla., declined to charge George Zimmerman, 28, saying they lack evidence refuting his claim of self-defense in the fatal confrontation. Under the 2005 law, called Stand Your Ground, Florida residents can use lethal force against an attacker if they believe their life is threatened, regardless of the location.
In recorded calls to police, Zimmerman describes following Martin in his car and calls him 'suspicious.' A dispatcher tells him not to pursue Martin, but Zimmerman persists. In statements to police, Zimmerman claimed that Martin then attacked him and he shot the teenager in self-defense, police said.
Martin weighed nearly 100 pounds less than Zimmerman and was found carrying only a bag of Skittles candy and a can of iced tea. Police said that without evidence proving that Zimmerman attacked Martin first, they had no grounds to charge him with a crime.
Dennis Baxley, a Republican state representative and co-author of the 2005 self-defense law, said Zimmerman negated his ability to claim immunity under the law by chasing Martin.
"This law is for innocent, law-abiding citizens who are under attack by a perpetrator," Baxley told The Huffington Post. "Anyone who is out pursuing and confronting people is not protected by this statute."
"I think they need to go back and read the statute," Baxley said, referring to the Sanford Police Department.
Former Republican State Sen. Durell Peadon, another co-author of the law, said Zimmerman "has no protection under my law."
"Being the neighborhood watch guy doesn't give you carte blanche to stop and question every guy you see walking down the street," said Sean Caranna, executive director of Florida Carry, a gun rights group.
A spokesman for the Sanford Police Department did not respond to a request for comment.
The self-defense doctrine has also been invoked as a defense by hundreds of people involved in fights and shootings, complicating formerly straightforward criminal cases, legal experts said.
"On a practical level, it seems that prosecutors in Florida are much less inclined to pursue homicide charges in cases when someone claims self-defense,' said Scott Sundby, a professor at the University of Miami School of Law.
The Martin shooting is now in the hands of Seminole County prosecutor Norman Wolfinger, who said this week that he will bring the case before a grand jury in April. The U.S. Justice Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement are also involved in the case.
Weeks passed before Wolfinger took any action, however, leading some to question whether the matter would have ever reached a grand jury were it not for the public outrage that erupted after Martin's parents called for justice.
"If it were not for the public outcry I think it's very clear that the prosecution would not have gone forward," Sundby said. [15]
It has now been over a month since George Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon Martin in a Florida neighborhood. Zimmerman has still not been arrested, and not been charged with any crimes related to the incident based on his claim of self-defense. [16]
Where is God in this entire calamity and injustice? God purposely allows these turbulences to get man’s attention. He has been trying to get our attention since man’s fall in the Garden of Eden. He is in fact determined to teach all sinners that He is the only One who possesses the key of justice, freedom, and perfect liberty. The absence of justice can never be used as a proving factor for the absence of the Almighty. Our limited ability to fully comprehend the predispositions of the Lord can only be overcome by our willingness to accept the will of God. It is one thing to recite memorized verses of the Holy Word but it is another to live them in the mist of earth’s unfair and unbalanced justice system especially when innocence prevails. We must recognize that true and absolute righteousness only resides in heaven:
“But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness” (2 Peter 3:13).
There is an urgency to stop putting our confident in man—(i.e. politician)—for man’s mind is limited while his heart is deceitfully wicked. Most people are in the quest of the ideal but they are only getting the real. The concept of the ‘ideal’ cannot be realized in a sinful world. The ideal can only be produced in a sinless environment. Am I offering these suggestions in order to remove your desire to seek justice from the kingdom of man? Not at all! What I am in fact proposing is the recognition of a flawless, impeccable and unbiased judicial system governed by an omnipotent and omniscient God that awaits all who are willing to give it a try for it has never fail to respond accordingly to the needs of man—His most precious created being.
We cannot oversee the man, the most humiliated man, the most shamed man, the most despised man who suffered an immeasurable amount of injustice from birth to death in order to give the world a ‘taste of true justice’. In all of earth’s history there is none as innocent as this man. He reflected love whenever he received hatred. He forgave all those who took him for an imposter. He befriended the members of the lower class—the most neglected class. He attracted all children to himself. He never retaliated against his adversaries. He never tricked anyone into believing in him. He never contradicted himself. No one is ever omitted in his prayers—even those who despised him. He is the most righteous man who ever walked the earth: Christ-Jesus.

Isaiah 51:4-8 "Listen to me, my people; hear me, my nation: The law will go out from me; my justice will become a light to the nations. 5 My righteousness draws near speedily, my salvation is on the way, and my arm will bring justice to the nations. The islands will look to me and wait in hope for my arm. 6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. But my salvation will last forever, my righteousness will never fail. 7 "Hear me, you who know what is right, you people who have my law in your hearts: Do not fear the reproach of men or be terrified by their insults. 8 For the moth will eat them up like a garment; the worm will devour them like wool. But my righteousness will last forever, my salvation through all generations."
Whether you are eating, drinking, singing, preaching, whatever you do, do it all for the Glory of God. Live today as if it was the last day you will live for and in Christ.
TAKE UP YOUR CROSS DAILY AND FOLLOW CHRIST!
